Satisfy your Pinoy tastebuds this Valentine’s day! ❤️❤️❤️

Happy hearts day Southies!

Lovers vibe once again. Our streets will, once again, be flooded with ladies handed with flowers and chocolate, sweet couples in red and figures of heart everywhere, lovely scene, isn’t it? (s’yempre ekis sa mga singles, but still you can have a date with friends, after all its love, aside from the romance, that we are celebrating, right?)

I’m sure most guys already planned their dates and routines tomorrow, and some are still trying to finalize what to give, how to do it, and of course where to bring their lovely dates.

What to give? Here are my suggestions.

If you got a limited budget to spend for your tomorrow’s date a simple long-stemmed rose would be a good idea already plus either a box of chocolate or a simple stuffed toy, for me this pair never gets old. (girls, if hindi na let us know!😅 )

If there’s enough ‘ipon’ for this romantic day peeps, your bouquet of flowers arranged creatively will still be the best (I always prefer giving a sunflower bouquet, every time) and of course your partner’s favorite dessert or chocolate or maybe something she can wear during your date- necklace, bracelet, ring or anything (a little fancy that will make her swoon and will add ‘kilig’ on this special day).

A resort trip will be another idea or a hotel staycation again with your special gift as another highlight. However, this might not be a good idea now because of the limitations caused by the never-ending pandemic. But if you saw an opportunity, and you planned it well and seamlessly, you go push for it. Looking at the sunset while in front of the beach or at the hotel veranda is 100%, no doubt, romantic, accompanied by either your favorite booze or kahit coffee lang! (I suddenly miss the beach while writing this, haaay!)

And of course, an excellent dining experience is another thing you can give to your partner. There are a lot of options, depending on your preference as a couple or maybe your partner’s cravings, take a pick!

Nana & Co., Molito Complex, Alabang

If you’re somewhere south and still looking for a great dining venue, try Nana & Co. within the Molito Complex in Alabang. (actually inside Molito, you got lots of options to choose from already)

The place is perfect for me. Cozy, well-lit, and a little fancy with the minimalist interior- everything is placed well in my eyes. (swabe lang, presko, walang eye sore extras). It’s actually a great place to do chit-chats, do some updating, and eat excellent food. And for lovers, to celebrate this special day.

If both of you are into Pinoy foods, this is ideal. If not, I will still recommend this because of the flavorful, yummy dishes plus other European finds (daming options promise😉) . Served with love, parang si Nanay na nagluto tuwing may dumadating na bisita, laging may extra flavor, sobrang sarap.

All my favorite Pinoy delis are here:
Wagyu Beef Caldereta (PHP 440) – perfect mix, fork-ready meat plus the creamy cheese on top, perfect! I’ll adapt this when I cook one, didn’t disappoint my tastebuds.
Baked Pork Ribs (PHP 330)
Shrimp Gambas (PHP 385).

The price? Justified! Pwedeng pwede na sa sarap and sa service that you will experience. I will definitely go back to try other best-sellers as mentioned by our accommodating server. (shout out dun sa server namin, hindi ko nafeel yung inis kahit na we are demanding a lot of things, super bait!)

In addition, they are following the COVID 19 safety protocols – temperature check, no facemask and faceshield no entry, social distancing, for both customers and servers, so you are surely safe if you will visit the restaurant.

Happy Valentine’s day everyone! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
